For one week in the Children's Studio, I facilitated a printmaking and book arts workshop for 9-12 year old students, which also included:
- developing curriculum and planning the week's schedule
- writing copy to advertise the workshop
- working with interns and the studio coordinator to foster a positive learning environment for all students

Lead Children's Art Teacher
As a lead teacher, I guide groups of 5-12 children through visual arts curriculum, reflection and introspection, and emotional expression, ensuring that all kids feel safe and comfortable to create and learn.
​
I also support with classroom prep and cleanup, curriculum adjustments based on the needs of the individual and group, and facilitating art-based birthday parties for ages 3-13.

- working alongside marketers, designers, editors, and other project managers across varied projects and tasks
- having the adaptability to step in and support different teams with new projects throughout each week
- making sure projects meet deadlines with compromising the specs of the assignment

Children's Studio Intern
As an Anderson Ranch Intern, I was part of a collaborative, integrated arts team. I worked with fellow interns as well as studio coordinators and workshop faculty to create educational and joyful visual arts workshops.
I worked directly with the Children's Studio to:
- develop visual arts curriculum across multiple mediums, creating sample projects, and brainstorming the most effective ways to teach arts principles to children aged 4-15
- make sure all students felt safe and welcome to be creative
- work with changing faculty throughout the summer, adapting to varying expectations and teaching styles
- maintain high levels of organization and cleanliness of the studio space

Village Books and Paper Dreams
Book Seller
As a book seller, I am able to support customers of all ages in finding books that connect to their interests. This involves energetic and kind customer service, using our database to search for books and problem solve, a point of sale system, and collaborative work with a large team.
This job connects me to literature of all types: current bestsellers, classics, poetry, kids books, cookbooks, and books on history, psychology, contemporary culture and politics, among others.

Jeopardy Literary and Arts Magazine
Associate Editor of Creative Nonfiction and Visual Art
In this role, I worked alongside the editorial team to put together a print and web literary and arts magazine. I specialized in the creative-nonfiction pieces: reading submissions, offering line edits, and selecting the pieces to be published in the magazine. I also assisted the team in making publishing decisions about the visual art pieces.
